Lit up the tree..

We went with Kevin's dad to go pick up our Christmas tree.. or shall I say to off road it till we found one we liked. Took us an hour to realize the 20fter wasn't in the cards. We have always gotten a huge Christmas tree.. like barely fit in the house huge. And this year not only did we switch kinds we got one that doesn't even come close to busting through the roof, which makes me sad.

Didn't realize just how much space we had in the van till we all piled in the CRV and took it on the trails. I felt like a sardine in the can.. then having the can thrown down a flight of stairs. It was memorable like all of our family outings. We finally settled on a tree which actually turned out to be quite beautiful and A LOT less expensive.

So we traveled on and got home just in time to find Andrew sitting on our porch. Usually he calls before he heads.. and we knew he was coming and around what time, but we were the most indecisive tree pickers ever, and he usually calls, but I digress.. There he was on our doorstep. It was nice to see him, and everyone came over to play Call Of Duty on the PS3 which was hilariously fun. I made everyone a cup of Russian tea and just enjoyed having people in my house. I love it when everyone comes over and is able to have a pleasant night.

After everyone left I started hanging up our ornaments and stockings... getting the lights on the tree. I used to be somewhat depressed around this time of year, and I have been getting in a funk here and there , but there is something about this year that sparkles and calms me down. Even with everything going on... I am starting to be at ease with it all. Now if only I can stop the cc debt.. I would be happier.

Both the kids are singing and I love it.. they count themselves in 1 2 3 a b c d l m w r st :) I love my little munchkins .And right now I gotta go see what their racket is all about before they destroy the house.
